Two Choices

I have been looking to get a new car for weeks and have narrowed my search down to two different vehicles. My girlfriend Charlotte is getting annoyed at how much time I've been spending researching cars recently.  I am going to talk about each here in hopes it helps me decide because right now I have no idea which one I want to get. The first one is a Chevrolet Malibu and it is a pretty sweet ride. It is the deluxe model or whatever so it has all the bells and whistles. I test drove it and was very happy with the ride. It is only a year old and has less than 10k miles on it. I have no idea why the previous owner traded it in but nothing is wrong with it so I’m not going to worry about that. The title and everything came back clean so yeah. The one thing I sort of don’t like about it is how big it is. As a single guy I don’t know if I want a 4 door since nobody is ever really going to sit in the back. The second one is a Volkswagen GTI and it is nice. It too has all the extra features and the price reflects that. It is a bit more money but it isn’t too crazy or I wouldn’t be considering it. It is 2 years old and has more miles but again the title is clean and there is nothing wrong with it. It is a compact too which is nice. I am just worried because I have had friends in the past that owned Volkswagens and they all have had issues with them.

I still need to do an auto insurance comparison on the two of them but I doubt that will be too different or maybe it will who knows. I want to decide on one or the other soon because it isn’t like I have a deposit on either of them. It would be my luck that I decide on one and call only to find out it was just sold. That actually happened to my brother Tom last year when he was in a similar situation. He was so mad but in the end it worked out as he found something else that he liked. I should actually call him to see what his opinion is on the two of them. He knows a lot about cars so I would value his opinion.
